CUT
Shoulder
New Zealand pork shoulder is generous and flavoursome cut with nicely marbled meat. A shoulder roast is the classic pulled pork cut, but it's also great as a roast.
New Zealand pork shoulder is incredibly popular, as it's the most common cut used for pulled pork, a tasty BBQ favourite. Stick it in the slow cooker or on your kettle barbecue or smoker and you'll have tender, fall-apart meat to feed a crowd. Pork shoulders can also be minced or diced for cooking slowly in stews, or kept on the bone and slow-roasted until tender and falling apart. The whole bone-in shoulder is a large roast, perfect in a big oven if you have guests.
