Roast pork in 30 minutes

Everyone loves roast pork but it's often thought of as a weekend only meal, as you need hours to cook and prepare it.

Think again!

Midweek roasts are absolutely possible. The trick is all in the cut you choose. Pork fillet, also called pork tenderloin, makes the ideal fast roast. It cooks quickly and it's also the leanest of all cuts, making it the healthiest choice for the family.

What is the pork fillet?

The tenderloin (or fillet) is a long, thin piece of muscle found on the inside of the ribcage and is part of the loin cut. It’s a prized cut, super tender and low-fat, and can be cooked whole or cut into small medallions or butterflied and pan fried quickly for a juicy result

How do you cook it?

Roasting a pork fillet is easy. The most simple way is to marinate or rub the meat with your favourite flavours and roast at 180˚C for 20-30 minutes, until cooked to your liking.

The great thing about pork fillet is it's a real chameleon of a cut, able to take on flavours and fit into all sorts of recipes. So if you're after super tender, super lean meat for a stir fry or pasta dish, you can cut it and quickly pan fry it as well for an incredibly tender result.
